You heard that right: I am signing up for the Year of the Asian Reading Challenge this 2020. It really sucked that I wasn’t able to sign in last 2019 – but it’s a good thing that the creators of this reading challenge is giving this another go this year 2020 because this is honestly a very good reading challenge + it boosts the magnificent Asian lit industry and the Asian authors as they deserve to be.

So this year – I am starting a bit small. I am targeting to get the Indian Cobra badge – which means I am targeting and pledging to read 11 to 20 books written by Asian authors.
I honestly have half a mind to get the Philippine tarsier badge just to be patriotic but that would be too small a number and I wanted to challenge myself.
So yeah – I’ll be listing all the books that I’ve read in this post so this space will be updated from time to time.
Books Read for YARC 2020:
- Hirunaka No Ryuusei (Daytime Shooting Star) by Mika Yamamori
- The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
- The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco
- The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo
- Last Call at the Nightsade Lounge by Paul Krueger
- Haikyuu! by Haruichi Furudate
I have an ongoing readathon right now and it involves my favorite author of all time: Haruki Murakami! I am currently reading Killing Commendatore so this will be an interesting started for this challenge. I am so excited!
How about you? Are you also participating in this reading challenge? 🙂
