4/5 ☕ | It has taken me years to read this book without choking up. And though I still feel that unmistakable emotion bubbling up, it’s now faint enough for me to actually finish this book without feeling bad about life. If there’s anything I regret, it’s that I should’ve let myself read this sooner.
If you’ve been following me on Goodreads or maybe just good ol’ Twitter, you know that I currently had myself committed to starting The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. This is the first of a series of Reading Diaries dedicated to the book series, featuring the first book: The Way of Kings.
These musings are way personal than I was expecting. This is how I usually write in my journal – things that are mostly disjointed it’s hard to fashion them into a decent and coherent review. I was honestly debating whether I should post this or not here but I figured, for the sake of documenting it, I can give it a shot.
I dreamt of him again. After so long, this is the first time that I saw his face, close and vivid — almost the same as the last time I saw him more than 7 years ago. He still looks the same, from the way I remembered him. That playful smile and that sincere look in his eyes, still there.
