(Photo Diary) Belfast in the Rain

July 30, 2023. There was something magical about Belfast today. The wet pavement seem to sparkle. All the lights seems to glow brighter, more neon. The sky, usually overcast and dull, almost looked like a unique mix of violet and light blue. Rain is no stranger in this city. But today, for some reason, it almost feels like the afternoon shower bathe the place anew.

Maybe it’s being in a dark cinema for almost 2 hours and going out. Maybe it’s the whole day being inside a café, eyes peeled in a laptop. But it’s magical moments like these, when I see this city in (somehow) new eyes. It’s a beautiful, quaint city. And I don’t admit it enough (because people here seem to hate it so much) I absolutely love Belfast in the rain.
